Bring it back.
We were fools, but we wanted things: summer, night, drink, air on our arms, the swell of music, the achy swell of music, or the quiet of the lake roads with no cars, past the parking lot, asters and seeding grass on the side, and us walking, smoking joints, letting the smoke burn and prick our lungs, our legs languid, our eyes stained calm, our legs in matched pace before we turned and went back inside to dance. Conspirators. Emotional business partners. That’s what we were. — Lorrie Moore from Who Will Run the Frog Hospital? (via laurataylor)

This is my daughter Hayden and myself photographed for a Canadian Family magazine article about dads with their children’s names tattooed on them.
Story behind the tattoo: Hayden was born during a blue moon so there is one behind her name and above it is a rose with a pink diamond inside it for my little girl.
